Ksheeradhooma is found to be an effective therapy in patients with facial paralysis or speech disorders. As the name indicates the treatment involves the use of ksheera or milk. Cow’s milk is boiled with various medicinal decoctions. The steam which comes out of such a decoction is made to pass through a tube and it reaches the affected part of the body.
If you have any health disorder related to head and hair, most Ayurvedic practitioners prescribe the therapy of thalapothichil, which means `covering the head’. The practitioners identify the body type of the patient and the responsible humour for the disorder, before covering the patient’s head with various medicinal decoctions which are capable of reducing the aggravated humour and bringing back the equilibrium of the humours. The treatment is found to be effective in curing insomnia too.
Vasti means enema and it is part of panchakarma treatment. The treatment helps cure a lot of diseases including joint pain, chronic stomach problems etc. All these therapies should be conducted in the presence of an Ayurvedic practitioner.
